YLS/CMI variables are the percent of assessed youth scored at a risk level in each domain of the Youth Level of Service / Case Management Inventory (an evidence-based recidivism risk-and-need assessment).
"Youthful offenders" are children charged with serious crimes under the youthful-offender statute.
